Love how it makes it clear that Alexander the Great from Macedon was indeed a Greek, and how he conquered Persia as punishment for TRYING to invade Greece on several occassions.

Greeks > ALL.

Well, I just used two valuable hours (or however so long) watching this, and i have to say.. it was not a waste. Good post. Thank you, now all those douchebags who say that the movie "300" was totally accurate can now be shut up. I liked the movie 300, btw.

I also liked the awesome, I say AWESOME, sound effects in parts of this, like the hand cutting in part 3, or the punching in part 8! :D

For anyone that still watches this: the end of this documentary is CRAP. After Salamis, Greece was far from united. The end of the Persian wars started the Peloponesian wars, which was a fight to the bitter end between Sparta and Athens. What the guy says about the end of democracy should Persia have won is bullshit, because the Peloponesian war was won by Sparta, who was not a big fan of democracy. Athens lost its `democratic` governement for about 20 years, and then rebelled again against Sparta. They battled to the bitter end, only in the end to both be overtaken by the Greec Thebans. They then weakened each other even more, until about 100 years later after Salamis, Philippus of MACEDONIA (not greece), united all Greec city states into MACEDONIA. After Alexander the Great had enjoyed an education of Aristotle, he started to appreciate the Greec legacy and started to call himself a Greec, to conquer the world in the name of Greec values.
Hope that educates some more...
