Next i'd like to see Jon Stewart sleep on Bush's sofa at the WhiteHouse.

I never thought id see Harper in a skit like this, it's really funny and shows a different side of him, i like that alot. Harper has impressed me in general as well, aside from helping to tarnish our image as peacekeepers, i may yet vote for him in the next election.

^ true, but this clip was funny. Even Harper's PR people know a good opportunity when they see it. This was a good move but doesnt change some pretty crap policy, Afghanistan being one of them.

Why would we pull out of Afghanistan? Thats retarded, unlike Iraq we are actually succeeding at keeping the taliban out, and getting jobs for the Afghany people. We are doing a good thing there.

I would agree that the war was a total bs, even more the reasons to declare it. But we can't just go destroy there country and get the fuck out of there.

^But about "We are doing a good thing there.", there's a LOTTT of countries who needs or help. Like Darfour, there's a genocide going on there. The only thing we have to do it's "go there" and our only presence will stop the war.

But unlike Afghanistan, there's only people there.

^ What do you mean "there's only people there" ? Sudan is an oil rich country.
The reason we can't go is because China would veto it, as they hold most of the oil interests. The U.S. has been sragging its feet as well.
Could the Harper government do more to try and pressure Sudan or other countries? Sure, but don't blame Canada for inaction. Blame the faulty U.N.
I'm sure HArper is well aware that more Canadians support intervention in Darfur, than action in Afganistan.
