If she was really trying to kill herself, You wouldn't think that she would put her hands in the air, to show you that she didn't have any weapons. I'm guessing that was just the husbands quick thinking so she wouldn't wreck his car.

Its cheaper for the cops to save her. If she jumped they would have to get divers in the water to get her body out(Assuming the bridge is over water) otherwise they need a team to scrape her off the rocks below, then a tow truck to get her car off the bridge and all the infrastructure involved in all of these processes etc etc etc. Its always about money, they don´t give a shit about her or me or you.

Dude I live there. ^^ And the bridge is over water. People try to jump off of it and the adjacent bridge all the time, and a lot of them DO make it off. None of them have ever survived the fall though.
