I have been using IE and Windows for years (I use *nix too) and never have I been blasted with spyware. I work at a computer shop and see this stuff all the time and its always cause the owner went to some sites they shouldnt have and clicked on the pop-ups that look like windows buttons or opened EVERY attachment no matter who it was from.

That's just stupid.

I've had nothing but security issues with IE regardless of settings. FF has yet to let a malicious pop-up through, and the pop-ups that do go through I have blocked by McAffe.

my test, at the dc (datacentre) a clean win xp pc connected to the internet without sp's or patches works for 20 minutes, after that it restarts and dies ) (kernel error or smth)

choose wisely, freebsd + firefox for work.

and yes, mostly such problems with sp'ed and patched system's are caused by the incompetency of the user...

I have had more things go wrong with my computer since i started using foxfire, ei i don't see many problems, buti have had almost every thing that was in that video..lol one simple program fixed it all.. roguescanfix , load up into safemode, load up that program let it do its thing then your back running =oP lol ofcourse i do other things but that is the main one.

i use oprera and firefox, its not being praised becuase firefox has a good anti-popup blocker on it. i prefer using opera out of both.
