Don't turn everything into a political flame war. Although, I suppose it is damn near impossible for those of you who chose politics as your religion. Separation of church and state. Don't turn the state into your church, which is what most of you fools have done while bitching about the religious types injecting their beliefs into the state. When you turn your state leaders into your religous icons, you become incoherent and extremely intollerant to opposing political views.....tools....

G-this, said it perfectly. This is not a political issue except for perhaps the house speaker, who many members of the GOP have asked to step down. This Foley guy gives a black eye to the party, but he did step down.

Teddy, the woman Slayer drunk, Kennedy has been in the Senate for years and he killed that woman what? 30+ years ago.

Teddy's son, gets into a drunk driving accident, checks himself into a a rehab clinic (bravo) on the governments dime (boo) and does not step down from congress.

This Gerry Studs guy actually had sex with a page, and ran for re-election.

Bill Clinton raped 2 women by force and sexually harassed several others.

Barney Franks was having sex with gay prostitutes, and is still in office.

The Democrat mayor of D.C. was caught smoking crack with hookers and was re-elected.

Some democrat congressman earlier this year was caught red handed with what $100,000 dollars in his freezer, and he has not stepped down.

Cynthia Mckenney assaulted a police officer and did not step down.

Gov. of New Jersey was caught leading a secret gay lifestyle, and was being blackmailed, and eventually appointed his gay lover, an Israeli citizen, to a sensitive post.

Every group of people has its flaws. Its more than a little bit hypocritical for the democrats to support gay rights publicly, but then bash a political opponent when his sexual indiscretions get the best of him. The Democrats were responsible for getting Alcoholism added as a disease to the Americans with disabilities act, but then bash their political opponents who battle this disease. Either you are for equal rights for the disabled and sexually mis-oriented regardless of their political stripe or you are against them.

Why is it that Democrats are so against domestic spying, when the cause is to protect this nation from terrorists, but for domestic spying when it comes to the private lives of our legislators?

I think that this Foley guy is a scumbag, but why is it that the democrats are not getting called on their hypocrisy?

They want to bring up things from 1983? I was barely a year old! So should I bring up the fact that many presidents owned and raped black slaves and many of those slaves carried the children of those presidents. As well as many others in political power?

We need to deal with the issues at hand. Yes, the democrats have done many wrong things (I do not condone this). But the Republicans have done just as many horrible wrong bad things. So who is more wrong? Well, I can't remember too much from 1995 except watching a few things about the Clinton scandel for over a year, but maybe someone who is older than me can tell me: Did the Democrats point fingers and try to blame what Clinton did with a legal consenting ADULT on the Republican party? I honestly don't recall seeing anything of the sort, but then again I was 10-12 around the Clinton Scandal.

Why is it also when sex is involved the media and the People follow it like a drug? I caught maybe 5 or so minutes today on CNN about it and that was enough for me. He stepped down. Great. What will happen to the party? Who knows. Most likely they will not be the majority anymore. Not that I have issue with that. Though I'm not sure how wonderful the Democrats will do. I'm sure that once they are the majority again, hell will only break loose further. For the sheer fact that the Republicans will find a way to make them look worse than they can make themselves look.

What about Iraq? What about Afghanastan? I haven't seen anything on them in a while. Why not? Might the Republicans, in a sense, be using this to their advantage to get the fact that there are WARS (Not just one war, but many) going on right this very second overseas? Might they have decided that this war isn't going quite as planned and decided with this scandel is the best way to lose the majority and then be able to push the entire war off onto the Democrats (who most were against it in the first place)? This isn't a conspiracy theory by any means. Just ideas that popped into my head. Just because someone has questions, doesn't mean they are forming a conspiracy theory, so don't get your panties in a bunch people.
