Tim Ryan Strikes Again

Congressman Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) is no stranger to delivering some powerful speeches on the floor of the House (previous example "Bush Getting Owned") and yesterday was no exception when he ripped on the Bush regime's record on Iraq, and why they want to distract the American people away from their monumental failures at home and abroad.

Its already started to hit - just look at the value of the $.

Its been on a consistant downward slide for the past 3-4 years and has slumped to almost half the value of the UK £... and even the Euro is worth more.

On top of that the Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the average wage is $27,040 (or £14,226) - whereas the UK average is $49,710 (£26,151).

^ Isn't the cost of living astronomically higher in the UK though? I seem to remember being in London and being told that an apartment (flat?) can cost over $3,000 a month. I could be wrong though, I do keep saying I'm not making enough money.

Anyone notice a real problem with this video? Notice all the mother fuckers "not" at work? Congress officially works 82 days out of the year folks. thats not even 3 months.

3 months out of a year, they are required to show up and make token decisions on public policy in the senate and house of representatives.

Any other profession in the world where you can earn a yearly salary for only working 3 months out of the year, and claim to be a servant of the public?

How about serving me by at least being present when you're getting your ass chewed by a junior congressman, and take it like a man because you fucking deserve to hear it and feel ashamed.

I loved his preaching and hated the fact that he was preaching to an empty room. The majority of the United States government is defunct. If the US government were a business, they would have been legally required to claim bankruptcy by now, and more than likely the shareholders (us) would have them all fired and brought up on criminal negligence.

Our government is merely symptomatic of the people.

We're getting what we deserve because we haven't demanded better. Keep voting; it's your gold stamp of approval on a broken system that no longer answers to the voter.

If no one votes, no one gets elected. Is that not the loudest vote of no-confidence you can give them? If you don't like the games rules, you have two choices. Suffer in Silence, or simply stop playing the game until the rules are changed to even the playing field. In our democracy of 2006 the rules no longer favor the common man; they favor the elite, the corporations, the people with the money, the power, and the influence that lets them use the system to their benefit.

Stop playing their game with the fucked up rules! How? It's not about not voting for crooks and liars, there's almost too many of those to count! So, just stop voting at all! That is the only message that will get their attentions. They push voting on us as our civic duty because voting continues their perverted version of existence. Without your consent (vote) they can't govern you any more. If you don't like how you are governed, isn't not consenting to be governed in that manner not the easiest way to stop it?

Get a clue people. It's time to stop playing this rigged game. The only way we can win a game as lop-sided as this one, is to just not play at all.
