Great guitar duel from the movie Crossroads (1986) between Steve Vai and an aspiring guitarist (Ralph Macchio). The movie itself is alright, but the duel is superb.

I think steve vai acctualy wrote the other kids part that beat him. So its really steve's stuff that won anyway. Movie was all right though.

Its a good movie but anyone who thinks ralph machio is really playing is an idiot. that kid cant even fake it right. and yes some of this is sweeped but only a few strings at a time. I would know because i can play it.

guys.. for cryin out loud.. it was ry cooder that taught macchio just enough to look like he was playing, it was ry cooder who played macchios part that they recorded the video over..
