I don`t know why, but for some reason, I was led to believe that the guy who stood in front of the tanks had been crushed. This documentary was amazing.

So was Marx right about capitalism? China seems like a good example. Plus, how is it a strong message to everyone when in China they don`t even know it exists? Seems like China is getting screwed here really bad.

I love this video. I showed it to all my adult students in china. It`s always interesting to see how much they really know about the country they supposedly love and adore. Most of them will flat-out deny it`s real or possible. They`ll just say it`s the western media lying about china again because it`s scared or jealous of china`s growing power. Unfortunately, despite the length of this video, it doesn`t do justice to the amount of injustice in china (no pun intended). china is a country that`s rotten through and through. I lived there for 5 years and all I can say is thank God I`m out with my newlywed wife and I fear the day china becomes the spark for World War 3. If you want to learn why, research Taiwan independence, the 2 Special Autonomous Regions (Hong Kong and Macau), Tibet and of course the much overlooked Uighur Region (XinJiang province). Or maybe people will realise how shitty china really is. Here`s another thing: STOP BUYING STUFF FROM CHINA! It`s shit quality and kills people everyday and all it does is support an absolutely corrupt regime. That`s my opinion and I`m sticking to it.

Interestingly enough, most of the bloodshed didn`t happen in the square, but rather the streets leading into the square. Many eyewitnesses report that the streets were stained red from all the blood. Other interesting fact is that the chinese woman in this video called Jan Wong is an amazing historian who`s written several books. One of them is called Mao: The Untold Story and really sets down a complete biography of Mao ZeDong from his childhood through to his death. It`s an incredible read, even it`s a bit long and many of the names are hard to remember. It really gives a lot of background to this video.
