I always enjoy watching the actually suspicious stuff, not the fluff that everyone seems to be an expert on.

I don`t know about anyone else out there, but I can distinctly remember something suspicious. I`d just finished watching Bill Murray`s Scrooged (I know, September 11, but I`m a Bill Murray fan and with Bill Murray it`s always Christmas Day. Or Groundhog Day). Just as the "put a little love in your heart!" song was wrapping up, my dormitory buddy came in and said `turn that off! something big`s happening!`. I saw some Pentagon type official standing up and saying that there was a flight that was not responding, and that they had scrambled fighters to intercept (he didn`t say anything about shooting it down though). I made a very clear mental note of it - I wanted to tell my grandkids that I could remember when the US military announced it was intending to possibly shoot down a civilian aircraft.

Next news flash said a plane had smashed into a field somewhere. I turned to my mate and said `looks like they got `em`, and I was eagerly (morbidly?) awaiting the next press conference. Next press conference - nothin`. It looked the same, but the official had been replaced by another spokeswoman, and there was not *one* question about the `scrambled fighters`, nor did they volunteer anything. The next day was the next time I heard anyone official mention `scrambled fighters`, and they said `what fighters? we didn`t have any fighters. who told you that? and even if we did, we wouldn`t shoot anyone down. but it couldn`t have been us because the nearest fighters are over 3 hours from there.` *nervous laugh*

hmm ... comments? did I misremember this? is the Ministry of Truth eradicating all physical evidence in their little Memory Holes, so I have nothing but my own memories to trust?

This shouldn`t be rated 1... He raises some good arguements, and there are other arguements especially about the pentagon that I am yet to hear properly refuted.

I like to think of my self as a NON conspiracy theorist nutjob but with 9/11, The US Government had the means to fake it, they had the motive to fake and they have experience in it! This is not the first time the american populace has had the wool pulled over their eyes.

AA Flight 77 (Pentagon) had 64 passengers, and UA flight 93 (Shanksville) had 40 passengers.

I`ll believe conspiracy theories when someone finds one of these people alive.

You see, no one will ever know the 100% truth about 9/11. Just as no one knows the 100% truth about the JFK assassination.

Deal with the fact that shit blew up, people died, and move on. Unless you are directly related to people that died in the buildings or on the planes, give it a rest. No one is paying attention to your kindergarten bullshit YouTube videos you made with Windows Movie Maker on your Hewlett-Packard computer. There are people out there who have fucking SUFFERED in regards to this day.

Monstriere, imagine you are one of these people who lost someone during 9/11 and just "want to find peace". Years go by and the population eventually sweeps the event under the rug, even though there was a great deal of evidence pointing towards some sort of fowl play. It`s ok, though, you`ve found your peace. More time goes by and suddenly something turns up that further proves that what happened during 9/11 wasn`t what it was made out to be.

Do you honestly think that ignorance would be the best prescription for this scenario? You lost someone dear to you and the ones who have made a career out of keeping you rightfully informed and protected have lied to you. This isn`t just about the deaths, this is about the principal of the issue and the fact that the truth isn`t being released to the public who have suffered the most. The people have the right to have their questions answered, especially if they`re involved.

I`m just saying, don`t rehash old arguments that have already been proven false. There are NUMEROUS pictures of the plane parts at the Pentagon, and not just the select few, when distorted and taken out of context, appear as if it wasn`t a plane.

As for flight 93, I`m sure Todd Beamer`s widow and 3 children or any of the other 40`s family would argue if it was faked.

Conspiracy theories are sometimes so grand that they make people lose all common sense and logic. My comment was based on the fact that this one was made by just a teenager with a computer. No facts, just all the stuff he heard while watching "Loose Change" that has pretty much already been debunked itself. Bring something new to the table that hasn`t been suggested before, prove it, share it, that`s fine. Just don`t plagiarize someone else`s theory and popularize it as your own.

just watch 9/11: in plane sight. its much longer, much more detailed and includes much more evidence. Its also narrated and presented by a respected radio show host. I cant remember his name but I don`t even know who the guy is narrating this video. sounds like some dude with a mix of a southern drawl and Arabic for an accent.

@ParticleMan420: It`s far from what you describe it man! These are honest questions that need honest answers! There were no reports other than the official one which contradicts most of the news footage publicly available so people will ask questions! When you need scientific proof for something, you ask an independent third party to do the study. The US govmnt doing the 911 investigation is like letting the catholic church do the official investigation for the child molestation cases! Wake up! Regarding this topic, I am happy to see people still asking these questions, even though people refuse to even consider them or answer them. I`ve seen even the hardest of "skeptics" and "thinkers" acting like religious fundamentalists in defending the official story when talking about the inconsistencies of the 911 attacks!

There are a hell of a lot of conspiracy theorists, but every now and again there`s actually a conspiracy too. Now some of the theorists for 9/11 are actually concerned with the evidence, or lack thereof, but there are also loads of the usual type - obsessive paranoid schizos.

But the worst attitude is embodied by ParticleMan420, who refuses to even question events out of laziness or apathy or whatever and bashes people who do, possibly out of a fear that the world turns out to be more complicated than he`s comfortable with.
