I attribute the U.S. rise in 2000-20010 to this dumb ass `Red Flag Warning` that started in the late 90`s or early 2000`s. It`s a freaking warm invitation to all those arsons who want to become famous.
How dumb is it to advertise on every media outlet something similar to... "We have unusually dry and windy conditions, so please don`t flick your cigarette out your window today!"

It should also be noticed that the highest rates coincide with the largest forest coverage. Wetlands, jungles, deserts and mountains are hard to set on fire..... God knows I`ve tried.
