Ugh.

We`re not drilling off the coasts of some of these places because of the adverse impacts on the environments there. Sure, we have all these purported zones to drill for gas and oil, but we need to check alternative sources of fuel.

Secondly, I agree that the US holds far too much control over the vast majority of this planet. We`re not the only people enjoying our wealth. We`re enjoying massive wealth (even the lower middle classes) compared to many nations on the planet.

Why do you think Wal-Mart sets up sweatshops in China? So that they can sell Americans cheap product.

And then we`re surprised when China says we need to level the playing field?

Well no shit. Third World wants rights and presence because they`re the foundation of it all. Cheap labor. This isn`t even getting into the fact that the vast majority of wealth in the US is direct into a handful of individuals.

What? Poor people want rights? Fair wages for their work?

What a fucking shocker!

THe best thing that that could happen for everyone if for everyone to hav e the same amount of money, with no means of making more money off of your fellow man, and then we all move forward as EQUALS!

Of course, in a system that makes money off of debt, and that debt is always more then the amount of money in circulation, equality is impossible.

Right now our entire system is rigged so that there must be losers, when we could have rigged so that there are only varying degrees of winners.

We make money out of thin air anyways, why not make it for the people who actually need it, and let their purchases fuel the industry that provides it. (This is better then giving the money to the top of the pyramid and hoping it trickles down, because all that trickles down to the very bottom is piss and shit)

Nerdicus brings up an interesting and rarely discussed point. i pose a similar question.

do we need money at all?

Before there was money everyone bartered. we exchanged our limited resourvces for someone elses limited rousources. as time progressed and gold then receipts for gold and then eventually paper currencies the transactions where essentially the same.

but, the fundamental reason no longer exists. technology releaved us of having limited resources a while ago. there is no longer a shortage on energy, we could power the world many times over with geothermal, solar, and hydroelectric. food is a simmlar issue, we make more then enough food to feed the world, its merely a question of distribution and cost.
