I think the point I`m trying to make is that this news wasn`t particularly important, nor interesting. The important news can`t be hidden or covered up - there`s always someone who`ll get the word out.

okay, maybe i`am the only one thinking this, but perhaps this was done intentionally as an april fool`s joke?.

the networks have a long traditation of this & in the past the BBC even faked a T-Rex on the loose in the streets of britain, AND PEOPLE BELIEVED IT (and even called the station).

other examples are a french film-making crew that aired a show detailing the faked government moon-landing & government & polital figures E.g. Henry Kissinger Admitted to faking it, only to announce it was all a joke at the end of the film & it was released on april fool`s day & again people took it as truth & called the station.

watch `interview with the assassin` or `dark side of the moon` & then see if your soo quick to believe everything you see.

Pretty deplorable if this was actually presented as news but I can find no authoritative sources claiming that ALL he did was faked news. Apparently Charles Jaco is a respected news anchor and even wrote the "Idiot`s Guide to the Gulf War".

Interestingly enough he now works for a local Fox News affiliate in St. Louis.

clicker you are making way to big of deal out of this, i dont care what news program it is, if fox did this i still wouldn`t give a shit. just because they are faking BEING IN Saudi Arabia doesn`t mean the news they give is actually fake. yea the gas mask thing is pretty ridiculous but every station does ridiculous things for ratings sometimes. you should already know you cant believe everything you see on the news anyway, sometimes they really think they have the story right when they don`t.

Their lies aren`t this blatant. They`ll cover up their "lies" or a deceitful event by bringing back an old issues and making you focus on that. Ex. Shortly after 9/11 when people started questioning the authorities and making up (some good, some bullshit) conspiracy theories, Fox News pumped out a segment about a fake moon landing. Was it successful in distracting people? I don`t know. But why would Fox News do that? And just right after 9/11?
