i read somewhere that a link between IQ and religious belief was found by investigations in scnadinavia. basically that by being more curious and looking into facts people became more intelligent and thus claims that could not be proven such as dodgy politicians, used car salesmen, and also religion couldn`t get much of a grip.
makes sense to me!

I honestly think that religion stunts intelligence and morality. I know there are good religious people, just talking trends here. Most "good" religious people aren`t very devout imo.

I know some well behaved/intelligent christian or muslim will respond to this, but I`m pretty sure that they will be the type who profess some belief but never follow any dogma, except the easy ones.

"I`m a good person who follows approximately 12% of what the Bible actually says, but for some reason I associate with the fucknuts who deny rights for others and attempt to suppress science"
