The Orkin Design Rolltop features a flexible multitouch OLED display, 17" in fullscreen mode and 13" in tablet mode. Runs on wireless power through the detachable stand which also holds the stylus and USB ports, but is, unfortunately for all tech geeks, only a design concept. This is the most retarded design I have seen yet.

You all know the normal leather laptop case, kinda like a brief case, zips open, laptop goes inside. I want a laptop built right into that. No retarded fragile plastic super-slim case, just unzip the top, hinge it up, case=computer.

ideas:

- everything is always plugged together inside the case.
- zipper flap, power cord pulls out the side or back.
- usb & ports area where usb sticks and things can always stay safely plugged in, don`t risk getting broken off, no need to set up and take apart / store away.
- mouse pocket built in.
- with a nettop size keyboard, no numpad, there could be enough space to mouse beside keyboard.
- keyboard zippered into top surface, allow for left or right handed setup by including both in package.
- could be smaller than an average laptop bag, while still allowing a larger functional space for bigger batteries and including an optical drive.
- would allow monitor / computer / battery upgrades and replacement as separate parts.
- alternate tablet configuration by using a touch screen, and having screen fold off one side (closed), right around and across the other side (open). Similar design, mostly the same parts as laptop style, but no complex and fragile hinge as on many tablets.
- NO FRAGILE HINGES. Simple friction hinges on rods slipped into fabric tubes sewn into corners of case. Cheaper and stronger.

Yeah, it seems cool... Until you try to use it on public transportation like 99% of laptop owners do. PLus, who wants a laptop that you have to assemble every single time you use it?
