That looks rad and all, but how much is a ticket going to cost? Shinkansen is already too expensive, but it beats a 8 hour drive i guess.

Shanghai China has one that is operating currently. Alas this video is quite old. Also imagine this service in India and the people holding of the side of the train would be like a fly holding unto the front of a windshield at 80 mph.

When those trains get packed the way other Japanese trains do, I have a feeling it will not reach those speeds. On the other hand train molestation enthusiasts will probably be disappointed reaching their destination earlier.

In the stimulus bill, they are supposed to build a mag lev train from Anaheim to Las Vegas. If it costs 100 billion dollars, I don`t think they appropriated enough money...

Narrator says the train has no friction once the maglev is activated. However he is incorrect. Even though the train is fairly aerodynamic there is still friction caused by the air its passing through.

For there to be no friction the train would have to operate in a vacuum.
