i think you missed the sarcasm in GameWarrior`s post. I believe, correct me if i`m wrong, he was commenting on the main stream medias favor of celebrity news instead of important news. There was a time when that crap was consolidated to E!, and that was fine.

The reason though, is simple. the few companies that own all of the American media outlets dont want it on their channels. its about that simple. its easy to not realize the effects of the war as our returning dead is really the only tangible reminder we have. unlike the years of World War 2, we have had no rationing. no factories are manufacturing for the war effort. there are no war bonds being advertised. nothing. the lives on the American people have, for the most part, been unaffected by these wars directly. untill the debt catches up that is, and thats right around the corner.
