A lot of respect to these guys, that`s a hard picture to take. The photographers get the exposure settings right and locked, then as the dolly is descending the sun goes behind the clouds... "Shit." Or worse yet, a gust of wind. If it doesn`t blow the dolly, could blow branches. That`s fun to fix in post.

I have had the privilege to see see this tree in real life. The branches are the size of the biggest trees you have ever seen. Its really amazing. Something you should see before you die. It will really give you a feeling of gratitude for the earth.

For fun lets see what would happen to the trees if the government sold the forests to private companies which should be done because government control of land is not democratic. Government owned land is a blatant form of Communism at its fullest.

It`s amazing to see the crew standing in the tree at the various points. It really puts it into perspective as far as just how tall these things are. Stunning.

It wasn`t a year in the planning lol.

It`s because Photoshop has recently included incredible photo stitching software in it that no human could do even if they had a spare year and expert use of the clone tool.

They would have spent a year being like "I wish there was a way...". Then suddenly there was one so they grabbed some cameras, stabilised them, and went out one day. A few hours later and Photoshop spat out the whole image.
