Love the way that ends too, Hitchens is definitely a most worthy mentor. Shows the limits of Gomeshi`s thinking though. He`s kinda middle of the road, almost blond, when it comes to shit like this. Good guy, but he doesn`t really know enough to really get the gold of a true genius like Hitchens.

I`m all for that!
If you can`t question your own beliefs, you have no right questioning the beliefs of others.
I hope Mr. Hitchens is wise enough to question his own beliefs at times, although sometimes it seems he is unable.

That statement goes for anti-theists/atheists too..
some of you are just as dogmatic as religious people without ever noticing it.

What belief is this btw? The non existence of the super natural which includes but not limited to Religions? That`s like saying I should take another look at my beliefs because I believe there isn`t a living baby orbiting Pluto eating Aeroplane Jelly for me!

If there is no evidence of an entities existence, how can we decide whether said entity does exist?

Show me some evidence of God and maybe I might have a look, maybe some other people might take notice too. (Literature or quotation of any form is not evidence.)

Mr Hitchens does have his beliefs questioned on a regular basis, by swollen congregations full of pseudo-intellectual windbag religious nuts. But they all fail. Scientists or legitimate philosophers can change his beliefs. Voodoo witch doctors and their flocks of blurry eyed pixies cannot.

Great to see some new Hitchens but I`ve seen so many of these I`m starting to know his script off by heart. If he doesn`t get some new material soon he`ll slip into hyper-familiarity like Bill Hicks.

If you guys love this stuff, I recommend the Four Horsemen produced by Richard Dawkins. Basically Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, and Dennet, sitting around a table discussing religion. Basically its Hitchens sipping on liqueur and smoking cigarettes for two hours.

But I took 10, and read a bunch of your posts. Although I disagree with some of your statements, you generally make sense and work hard to contribute to the conversation. Thank you.
