Very well-articulated, pure logic, good examples. If you like this video I`d recommend taking a Intro/Philosophy and Ethics class. They teach these kinds of concepts and ideas.

PokeyGorilla, your a great example of what this video exposes. The man uses logic to find flaws in arguments related to the existence of a god or gods. Maybe his logic is flawed. At least he used logic instead of resorting to emotional name calling to come to his conclusion. Do the same and be honest with yourself. Don`t accept `a truth` unless you can find evidence or a chain of logic that proves it.

I agree with the tone of the message (say it peacefully), but the logic is (unfortunately) flawed. As SH`s defacto "intelligent Christian", it should be pointed out that the same logic that applies to a CUBE does NOT apply to a realm outside of known existence. Whereas you CAN tell some things that are NOT in a cube, no matter HOW the cube is physically manifested, you CANNOT NOT tell what exists in (eternity/heaven/the realm outside of known existence). While I agree with the fact that you can`t LOGICALLY prove what IS in said realm, you also CANNOT prove what is NOT in said realm, as you haven`t the slightest idea how the realm exists, or what are the "natural" laws of it.

The narrator approaches the most natural aspect of God (as we know Him on earth) when he says that He cannot be known in the physical realm of existence (currently - He was when He was Jesus, but let`s put that aside for now), as God is a Spirit (as the Bible says). Therefore, for a person that has never existed as a spirit, but only in a body of flesh and blood, it would be quite a difficult to grasp concept without faith. How ironic that the same faith that allows us to set aside disbelief for superheroes is the same faith that is called upon when one believes in the superhuman Person of Christ, who walked on water, flew, became intangible, brought people back from the dead, created matter from nothing, and came back from the dead Himself. Numerous scientific impossibilities, sure - just like the nucleus of an atom, which (according to what we know now) CANNOT be explained why it does not NATURALLY blow itself apart! Sure, we may lack the technology to find out WHY that is (Who knows? We may NEVER have it!), but just because we CAN`T measure/test/experiment on it NOW, should not preclude FAITH ("...by Him all things consist..." or, ARE HELD TOGETHER). Just because you CAN`T know something is no more reason to discount someone`s faith than it is reason for me to scoff at your LACK of it.

The flawed logic present in the video is only readily apparent to someone who`s dealt with circular reasoning before. Just because you establish a SIMILAR principle that is sound will not make your new, ALMOST-the-same principle sound as well. These things must be thought out.

Sure. There`s no "evidence" for God beyond faith, the Bible, years of followings, natural science, and personal experience. BUT, there`s also no "evidence" that EXCLUDES the existence of God beyond the shadow of a doubt EITHER. BOTH positions are somewhat indefensible (to the other party)... and guess what? BOTH are equally FAITH. ;)

Yeah, logic works fine in practicle matters but this guy has been using it for ages to try and disprove god. All of hes videos really come to only one conclution. "we dont know"...but he somehow fails to make that point clearly and focuses more on beating the "believers". I mean how can he even be an atheist, the logical conclution is that he does not know, thus making him an agnostic. Atheism makes a illogical "leap of faith" claiming to know that god does not exist.

There are different kinds of atheists. There are agnostic atheists, who have no belief in God or claim it cannot be known. Then there are gnostic atheists who claim there is no God and that we can know that for certain.

Richard Dawkins would be a gnostic atheist who claims through reason, logic and scientific facts that God does not and cannot possibly exist.

The creator of this video sounds more like an agnostic atheist, someone who doesn`t believe in any established gods yet does not rule out the idea that one could exist.

Heres some synonyms of dogmatic: rigid, inflexible, narrow, authoritarian.
It is naive to believe that atheist or even scientists are some how free of these qualitys, after there all there just people, and people always have some fixed beliefs. The truth is anyone can believe in a dogma; you can be a religious nut, an atheist, an agnostic, or a politician. You can even be a normal, rational person and believe in a dogma.

Some atheists hold to their beliefs just as firmly as religious people do. IT IS a belief because we dont know the answer. The more you defend it, the stronger the belief.
