Anyway, It`s honestly beyond belief that there`s an issue with this speech. So lemme get it straight, you hold an election to select a president but your not prepared to have him talk to your kids about, wait for it.......STAYING IN SCHOOL!? Ironically, those who oppose it describe it as a dictator, communist like address. By banning it you`re just as bad as china having restrictions on internet access. Seriously, the US just doesn`t do itself any favours, to me, when I look at your rationalisation over things like this and the opposition to health care reform im tempted to laugh, but then I remember that there are people suffering because of this mentality.

In regards to health care, I have actually heard the argument "It would result in too much government involvement". Oh but you want private individuals to run you health service? Business made from peoples suffering? Sounds wonderful. Maybe you should screw paying your taxes for a police service and cough of up $2000 to have someone
drop by whilst your house is being robbed by armed robbers (we know how easy it is to get hold of a gun over there). I can hear an emergency call now:

Operator: whats your address?
Victim: 78 fdjukifjkvj......
operator: will that be visa or maestro?

Anyway, just have your president save the day as you expected him to but don`t thank him if he ever does (I highly doubt it with a populace that treats him like this). It`s like having having black family friends, but forbidding your daughter dating one. Simple as that.

Teachers and parents give that exact same speech all the time. Why waste learning time listening to a loud mouth speak so he can hear himself talk. Sorry, I wouldn`t want any of my kids to watch that or anything he says.

It`s pretty effing stupid that anyone would complain about this, but like EckJerome, I read about H. W. Bush doing this as well and dems complaining (though no one threw around words like `socialism`, `indoctrination` or went so far as to pull kids out of school) and this is simply partisan bullshit that, to some degree, plays both ways. It seems like Obama shouldn`t of even bothered if this happens to any president who tries.

Nader is looking pretty on the spot while two-party partisan bickering wrecks havoc on the country (especially with health care).

Norway has racists too. Of course, that might not be the reason they won`t have an hispanic president some day soon. Maybe if Hilary won. She can`t do it now, she has other priorities. Like which country to invade next? What? It`s gods way of teaching americans geography.
And it`s not about partisan politics or conservative media. It`s about school principal who have their head up their arse, as more eloquently stated in the video. I especially liked the ending, gave it some punch :)

i didn`t watch the events of 9/11 in school at all. it was briefly mentioned but im pretty sure they were trying not to scare anyone (this was in MA), i heard about the real severity of the situation only after school. But I find it hilarious people have a problem with his speech, he took a few minutes out of his life to tell people to try to be successful and stay in school, now i can UNDERSTAND(but dont agree) that people would think this doesn`t really help much. Even if it helps ONE person stay in school it was worth his time, and who knows the one person he persuaded might be the one to invent the next "ipod or cure for cancer" (slightly quoted from obamas speech i cant remember exactly what he said)

I think it`s amusing how progressive the world has suddenly become because the media told you that`s what your being. Most of the people here still believe in religion...You can`t just up and change an entire healthcare system just because it`s popular with a bunch of complainers. We do have a 60% approval rating of our system thus far. Trends suggest the better the economy is the happier people are with the system. We aren`t even borderline 50% on this issue yet so let`s stop spending every fucking dollar we have trying to reform healthcare when other issues like shutting down the irs needs to be done first. For people that don`t know what irs is...it`s the privately owned income tax people that take all the money you could have had for healthcare and whipes thier asses with it.
