Not sure what the score will be by the time this gets enough exposure, but when I`m writing this it`s a 1.

Why is it so low? I have no idea. Particularly because a lot of these toys were ones that I got as a kid, and they sucked. Especially that greenhouse thing. You couldn`t grow maggots in it even if you put a dead animal inside.

All it did was fog up for a week, dry out, then spill because you stopped giving a shit.

People don`t realize what a big deal Happy Meals were back in the early 80s. Before they came along, McD`s used to print games and stuff on the paper tray covers. Having a whole box covered with games and a freebie...toy, sticker...didn`t matter, we kids were pretty fucking easy to impress back then. That was huge, and because they changed the prize every WEEK, it meant your parents had to take you there on a regular basis to get all of the prizes in a series. Brilliant marketing.

Anyways, the Star Trek prize was an iron-on emblem you could stick on a t-shirt. The whole tie in with the first Star Trek movie was a new thing, even though I`m sure a lot of kids didn`t actually go to the movie (we had a Star Trek cartoon at the time).

I remember #4 as well. They did a similar run with plastic Happy Meal boxes in the shape of train cars...engine, box cars, caboose, etc. You could link them all together and pull it around your living room. As I said, we kids were pretty fucking simple back then.

Best prizes were 4 penny racer cars of the McDonald Land characters. They had a lead weight in the back so they would spin, but you could take it out and they`d go in a straight line down your school`s hallway.

Was Seppo the new word you learned at school last week? I see it in almost every fucking post you put on this site. I`m not sure where you`re from, but I`m all for insults that cross english language boundaries. With that in mind:

Fuck you, asshole.

I remember waaaay back in Australia in around 1986 I went to Red Rooster and got a Red Rooster happy meal thingie, and the box (back in the good ol` days where styrofoam was the norm) was in the shape of a space shuttle.

I don`t know if it was prophetic -- but my big brother stuck a lit firecracker in mine and threw it in the air. Kaboom. Ahh good days. Although back then I was devastated.

I remember the Food Changables and the boats. But my family wasn`t butt fuck poor so their entertainment value only survived the car trip home until it was Lego time.

The best one I can remember were the Ghostbuster happy-meal toys, they ruled ass! Especially the one you would get for your bike to make the "Ecto1" Siren sound. Good times...Good times.
