Clearly, geniuses see the world in a fundamentally different way.

This is the guy that proved the cause Challenger disaster, during the comittee hearing, by dipping a piece of o-ring material into his glass of ice water and snapping it with his fingers.

Feynman wrote a few books for us laypeople. If you like this video, you`ll love his books. He`s been one of my heroes for a long time.

This guy is a terrible explainer, because he may be so smart.

^He is `The Great Explainer" he explains things incredibly well, he just refuses to explain things wrong for the sake of getting people to accept his explanation. He wrote a book (`QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter`) that explains the way light works, in a way that most people can understand and enjoy reading, without using a single equation.

"Saying that you don`t understand it, meaning: I don`t believe it, it`s too crazy, it`s the kind of thing I`m not going to accept. Well this time I hope that you will come along with me, and you`ll have to accept it, because it`s the way nature works. If you want to know the way nature works... we looked at it carefully, that`s the way it looks. If you don`t like it, go somewhere else, to another universe, where the rules are simpler, philosophically more pleasing, psychologically more pleasing. I can`t help it OK? If I`m going to tell you honestly what the world looks like to human beings that are struggling as hard as they can to understand it, I can only tell you what it looks like. I can not make it any simpler, I`m not going to do this, I`m not going to simplify it, I`m not going to fake it. I`m not going to say its like a ball bearing on a spring, it isn`t. so I`m going to tell you what it is really like, and if you don`t like it, that`s too bad." -Feynman

I wouldn`t doubt that Feynman experimented with LSD or other drugs. I wonder if he and Carl Sagan ever shared some bong hits?

He said in his book "The Pleasure of Finding Things Out" how he would visit strip clubs and do some of his best thinking on the cocktail napkins.
