Pharmacist Tricks Robber

SANTA ANA, Calif.-- Police in California say a robber who demanded OxyContin pills from a pharmacist was instead given Tylenol.

Santa Ana police Cmdr. Tammy Franks said Timothy Wade Voroshuck, 30, walked into a CVS pharmacy about 5 p.m. Wednesday, told a pharmacist he had a gun and demanded the pills, The Orange County (Calif.) Register reported Friday.

Franks said the pharmacist initially refused the demand and Voroshuck jumped over the counter and struggled with the worker until he agreed to hand over the medication. However, the pharmacist instead gave the robber Tylenol and told him it was OxyContin.

CVS employees dialed 911 during the incident and officers arrived before Voroshuck left the store. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and false imprisonment. He was taken to the Orange County jail in lieu of $145,000 bail.

Police said they did not find a gun at the scene.

It would have been funnier if the pharmacist gave him allergy pills instead of painkillers.

I don`t get how they arrested him for suspicion of robber and FALSE IMPRISONMENT. Aren`t they supposed to release you for false imprisonment?

^ I was under the impression that any citizen could legally detain/restrain someone if they are committing a crime. Given that, could restraining someone when they aren`t committing a crime be False Imprisonment?

Damn, that`s unlucky...having been given Tylenol instead of Oxycontin...wouldn`t want to be in his place.

Serious now, WHAT THE FUCK IS TYLENOL OR OXYCONTIN??????

Tylenol (North America) = Paracetamol
Oxycontin = Oxycodone
