MORE! please I wanna see the rest of it!
I will have to partially agree with him though. Yes, the Watchmen movie wasn`t nearly as good as the book, but I liked the ending more, the philosophical consecuences of it were greater (i.e. Dr. Manhattan being a god-like being, turning against humanity, implied that humanity would have to turn on themselves and stop believing in God, which I liked more than just.... ALIENS!)

@imjac

The endings are intrinsically the same: an event so probabilistically unlikely and absurd that no person with a mind could apply any rhyme or reason to it that`s accepted willingly as fact. In this effect Snyder managed to cut a significant part of the original story without really changing anything important. Snyder is truly a magnificent director and managed to come as close to the story as possible. Also being a fan himself, the movie`s more like a tribute than a representation of what Watchmen means to the 4 color universe(s).

I too wish to see more. I like hearing from Alan Moore since it`s once in a great while that he`ll speak in front of a camera.

I really hope his stance on how his comics can`t be filmed or how he refuses to watch Snyder`s Watchmen doesn`t affect anyone`s opinion of the movies that have been made from Moore`s comics.

If he felt so strongly about his comics not being turned into films then he wouldn`t of sold the complete rights to his comics! At the very least he could of made a deal in the contract when it comes to movies.

I respect the man very much because I love his comics but he is acting like an old crotchety man. This isn`t the first time I`ve seen/read him say this about his comics turned into film. Maybe be feels cheated because he isn`t getting paid for the movie or maybe because he has no control over it. Regardless he has no rights to his comics because he sold them and everything to do with them.

Funny, I found Watchman unwatchable, though it was a reason for me to see Malin Akerman naked again...which gave me a reason to watch Harold and Kumar again. V for Vendetta wasn`t bad.

watchmen was just fine, it was incredibly close to the graphic novel, as a matter of fact in terms of films i`d say it`s the closest representation of a product turned into a film i`ve ever seen. There were a few changes, such as the ending that were changed to make sure the audience wouldn`t go WTF (you know what i mean, if you`ve read watchmen).

I dont understand why so many people disliked watchmen, I thought it was great, although very intricate. Snyder did a fantastic job.

If any of you guys liked reading Watchmen or V for Vendetta, read Promethea, imho it`s his best work to date.

Ive never had the pleasure of reading the watchmen yet I actually liked the movie quite a bit. I like the ending as well. However from what I`ve read it nowhere near compares to the book so it has piqued my interest.So I eventually plan on reading it.

^ Check out the Watchmen: Motion Comic dvd/blu-ray then. It is the whole comic but with parts slightly animated by Dave Gibbons, the original illustrator of the comic.

Only bad thing is that the whole thing is voiced by the same voice actor. He is amazingly good, like his Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan voices are perfect and sound nothing alike, but he also does the voices for the women which can be quite odd. Besides that, it is awesome.
