I couldn`t even finish the video.

As a Martial Arts instructor myself, this video sickened me. He has taken everything that Martial Arts is about and flip-flopped it.

Martial Artists are not to go out in the world and puff out their chests, trying to intimidate people, A Martial Artist is to be of humble stature. Something I always stress to my students. We don`t even tell people that we train in martial arts....as that will only provoke many into wanting to "prove" something.

We in no way want to hurt ANYONE, but would like to help EVERYONE that we can.

Fighting is the last thing on a true Martial Artist`s mind.

If you are not able to say that ALL of the above don`t apply to you...you are not a Martial Artist.

I got to about the 5:40 mark and was really quite done, I didn`t need to listen to anymore. Just them justifying their idiocy and using the nobility of their craft as a shield to cower behind, and not as something to defend and uphold honorably.

Koryo and Exsploder, while I agree wholesale with the sentiment and mentailty of humility and peace, Id like to remind you both that the reason for the existance of martial arts is simple to hurt and kill people.

However, having this ability and choosing not to use it over every little thing speaks well of us and our virtues, not of the systems of combat we study.

That said this guys a moron and a coward. I doubt that has anything to do with martial arts.

^^Hidden Ronin.....Yes, they originated as ways of hurting people, as they were originated as fighting styles for wartimes. But, that was hundreds of years ago. Also, even back then, martial artists had codes of when they were to use their skills. They did not go about beating anyone that they felt like, just because they could. There is more than just the physical part of martial arts.

Yin & Yang....Um & Yangh. The outer and inner martial arts. Equal balance to everything. All things need to be at peace. A true martial artist looks for tranquility in life, not confrontation.

I read a newspaper article from the city that dojo was in. A police officer said he knew this master and the victim, whose name he can`t remember. He says he thinks its funny how on the internet rumors get started, saying the guy wasnt killed and he saw him days after the attack and he was limping, looking like he got messed up pretty bad. He offered to pursue the incident but the man was reluctant to cooperate. I thought it was a total bullshit cover up related to a female student of Blythes whos husband was a police officer.
