Now Congressmen are saying that they are going to remove the advanced directives consultation compensation provision because they don`t want it to be misinterpreted. Proving to the health care industry that if they want something removed from the reform, no matter how good it is, all they have to do is make up a lie and get their lackeys to repeat it over and over despite being repeatedly told in no uncertain terms that they are lying and creating misguided anger that may end in the harm of good politicians representing the majority of the people and the millions of people that need reform the most.

Unfortunately, it`s been reported that the public option has been removed from Congress` health care discussion. If that`s true, the `screamers` at these town halls have won and the bill is neutered. It`s a sobering reminder of who actually runs this country: corporations.

BTW, Palin was referring to Section 1233 of HR 3200 which authorizes advanced care planning consultations if "a significant change in the health condition of the individual ... or upon admission to a skilled nursing facility or a long-term care facility." These occur whether or not the patient requests them. You don`t think someone in this state of poor health is going to feel pressured??
