most doctors will choose to help a patient over profit.

the "human factor," as well as sympathy instincts will kick in. self preservation is a bitch, and REAL doctors will understand that. this film is propaganda.

A doctor maybe, but the drugs and expensive materials come from somewhere, that`s where you have "for profit" assholes jacking up the price. And it`s health INSURANCE everyone has a problem with. But I`m just beating a dead horse pointing that out. :(

Whereas this clip makes it seem as if Douglas was Jesus and that there is no sane argument against a government healthcare system, its point about the idiocy of the masses and the elites` control over them is quite valid.

I wonder why no one mentions the option of having both a free state run healthcare system and a free enterprise system simultaneously. Problem solved.

What I find highly amusing is that the countries with general/state health insurance have pretty solid health standards - and some of them work by the same capitalist/democratic premises like the U.S.
And, as far as I know, most of them also allow free enterprise insurance.
Thus, people can choose. Can`t afford private insurance? Well, get general - and even then you can choose between various premium classes.

Health Insurance does not work because every insurance company needs to turn down some claims to make money. All you idiots on here with the idea Health Insurance pays all the claims it gets are morons. They turn down all kinds of legitimate claims everyday. If the Health Care is run by the government at least someone is paying your invoice and not only that but also making sure the invoice is not overcharging. I am sorry but putting profit wanting companies in charge of who pays the doctors bill is not going to work ever. I live in Saskatchewan and let me tell you I love my public heath care. Our doctors are happy and everyone is healthy for the most part.
