this is just fucking annoying. You dont need to taser a 14 year old girl. its a non lethal alternative to a firearm, not an alternative for running.

I work in law enforcement, but we dont have tasers because douchebags in america keep lighting people up for not signing speeding tickets and for arguing so the government here is scared of issuing them because of PR.

People complain tasers are excessive force, but complain when police shot a 15 year old kid who charged at them with a knife a few months ago. a taser would have saved his life. but because fuckhead cops can`t restrain a 14 year old girl, those of us who arent going to abuse the tasers dont have access to them.

white trash need to learn how to discipline their own child. You call police to fix your own problems you`re gonna get that. It may have been excessive, but I know when a cop say stop, I stop.

My question: would he have shot her with his handgun? No? Then he had NO RIGHT to shoot her with his tazer at that moment.

There is no way that it`s OK for police to demand obediance at any / all times, by force or extreme toruture, just because they say so. She was not a credible threat to him. She was not under arrest, or evading any legal obligation.

SHE DIDN`T WANT TO VOLUNTARILY BE THERE, SO SHE LEFT. END OF ISSUE.

As experience has shown with too many deaths, a tazer is a HOPEFULLY non-lethal weapon. Their use is ONLY acceptable as a means to prevent the escalation of violence that could otherwise potentially become lethal. With luck.

^^ eclipse492, I`m for tazers too, but I`m also for much better training and screening of our police forces. The mind is the first tool and weapon, and some cops need to sharpen up some. And then there are some cops who need to find different work. If you take the cost of lawsuits some of them inspire, I`m sure we could justify helping them quite generously find something more suitable. I think compassion and kindness are the true bedrock of just action, and those officers who fail to grasp this at a deeper level are the ones we could do without as public servants.

first of all the police officer had no reason to use the taser and no legal right to back his action.you never aim a teaser at someones head ,he`s a police officer he is trained to never do this kind of mistake.
in this instance he is a civilian using a teaser on a 14 year old girl because no law is backing him up and should be prosecuted as such.
i am really disturbed by this incident.

I don`t think he ment to hit her head but if he had just hit her in the back like he was most likey aiming no one would give a flying fuck about this.

But since he missed the back and hit the head this is gona be blown up to be some monster killa cop trying to kill this poor little helpless girl.

She ran was told to stop but still tryed to run form the cop and so got hit with a taser fair use she was just unlucky the cop had poor aim and got her in the head.

All that needs to happen is the cop needs to say sorry for his bad aim and go back to the shooting range to work on his aim so he don`t hit some other person in the head.
