When you`re going against the current, or the machine, you can`t expect it to be easy and fast. In order to have a real change, not a Bush-Disguised-As-Obama, some people in the media need to work for it, like RATM, Bill Maher and some other people.

Here in Mexico, we don`t have those freedoms and you soon won`t have them: we have journalists being kidnapped, arrested, tortured and murdered. And the goverment also has the media on it`s side, you don`t know what kind of shit they put up on the news over here. Three years ago they turned a teacher strike in Oaxaca, who were looking for better conditions and breakfasts for students, and they portrayed it as a guerrilla war, when the goverment was the one shooting guns, killing and kidnapping people.

You are safer and richer up there, make an example!

Nothing is as simple as it seems. While I`m all for helping the poor and giving everyone free health care, people need to be acutely aware of the fact that it cannot be done without increasing the burden on others....mostly against their will.

I`m not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, I`m a nurse working the night shift and get taxed over a third of what I make.

My parents aren`t either. My moms a nurse, works two jobs and my dad is the night manager in a small clinic. They bust their asses, a lot more than most...and when you add up federal, state, local, property and sales tax they pay close to half of what they make in taxes.

When people clamor to lift everyone out of poverty and give free health care to every man, woman and child.....keep in mind who`s having to pick up the slack. Revolutions can swing both ways.
