What`s the big deal with dolphin!? Damn whities trying to piss other people off again to sell a documentary. This `fishing` is a cultural thing. Just like in US where its a cultural thing to piss on other culture because you`ve seen the light and know what`s right.

Where I live (in Japan), in some supermarkets and food stores theres a lot of canned whale and some canned dolphin alongside canned tuna etc. Although its all marinated and doesn`t taste very good. Only had fresh whale once, at a sushi bar. not very common. But I live in the countryside so. And raw dolphin is more common in Okinawa. Which is like a different country apparently.
Beef is much better.

As for showing footage to Japanese people on the street, they would squirm more if shown cows, chickens etc.

EDIT: Oh no! PETA`s voting me down, !*#kusou#*!. Get some human friends instead ;-P

Naah, not suprised. Most Japs have always been a bunch of arrogant, weird pervs. Cultural rights my ass, they are a first world country for god sakes. They have plenty of food and dont have any excuse to go after near sentient creatures like whales and dolphins. Fuck them, why cant greenpeace just buy a sub and sink all those whaling ships, the world would be a better place.

Can someone who is Japanesse please confirm this. Someone was telling me that it`s a sort of culutural thing, the Japanesse don`t feel any sort of major guilt treating animals like this because they believe themselves to be far superior.

Same with the Chinese animal cruelty doesn`t bother them because they believe themselves superior.
