I was wondering the same thing Kokujin. This is fascinating. I wonder if 16 years = 6 months in her lifespan. She`s like Wolverine, she ages...just very slowly and heals extremely quickly.

I personally don`t think that she`ll live longer than the average person, likely less given all of the medical complications she`s had. Yes she recovered, but it`s certainly not normal/healthy to have all of that happen to you.

Also, since she`s not aging at a uniform rate, there could be all kinds of weird things that happen.

Why are we only just hearing about this? When she was a 14 year old who looks like a toddler, was that not newsworthy? Sorry to burst your bubble folks, but she IS aging. She`s just not growing. This is not unique. It`s not even all that uncommon. If it happens in the developed world you can bet your ass it`s happened a hundred times in India or China. It`s rare for them to live long enough for the difference to be noticed, and unheard of for them to reach old age. You saw all the crazy medical shit she went through, she`s just the highly improbable yet inevitable proportion of sufferers who has survived through it all.

But well done to the doctors for keeping her alive. Makes a welcome change. All they usually do is keep old people alive.

She may have an aspect which has stopped her body to go through hormonal growth and puberty, but she is clearly ageing. Saying that she ain`t ageing is just to create hype, she ages and will die most likely prematurely. She does not evolve/grow....but she ages like everyone...but will most likely die sooner than most people.

what i find amazing is that she beat all those medical problems

the reason we age and die is because our body`s can`t keep up with tissue degradation over time and our cells have an finite number of possible division cycles.
cancer cells have an infinite division cycle and are virtually immortal also stem cells can divide into all cell types and new evidence shows they contain immortal DNA.

the human body takes about 20-25 years to fully develop, after that most resources go to maintaining health, tissue regeneration and storing energy in form of fat.
in the very very distant future, genetic manipulation could massively boost the regeneration functions.
imagine all your body`s cells manipulated to revert to stem cells every thousand division cycle.
all humans would look and feel as a 28-48 year old and be virtually immortal.

science can deliver what gods can`t.
