The surviving mother should be questioned heavily for this as well: her husband was a known drug dealer who put the whole family at risk with his occupation so why didn`t the mother take her child and leave him? Why would she endanger her own life and her child`s? Because of the drug money?

The seething hatred that oozes from groups like the "minutemen" is indicative of what our culture has degraded to. Rather than seeing them for what they are and dealing with them, we have accommodated their legitimacy.

JimCarrSavannah, are u not aware David Duke has also run for office as a Democrat??? He tried a bunch of parties to see which we could gain any power. Are you seriously going to spin things to make it seem as if he has any backing from the Republican party???

EDIT: Sen Robert Byrd has strong support from the democratic party and he was in the KKK. So are Democrats to blame for any of this?

Jim, the husband was the biggest drug dealer in the area. This is fact.

No, it doesn`t excuse the murderers...but do you honestly think this would have happened if the guy hadn`t been dealing and storing drugs in the home?

This has nothing to do with politics. Well, not directly anyway...but I don`t feel like ranting about the War on Drugs right now. (Because local law enforcement knew this guy was a big time dealer for years and had done nothing to stop him...what`s up with that?)

^ Because I live 40 miles from Arivaca and the local media has reported quite a bit more on this than the national media.

It`s not speculation that the guy was a drug dealer (pot, specifically). It`s fact.

Yes Byrd was a Dixiecrat like 50 years ago but I do think his voting record for the last 30 years or so is indicative of a genuine change of heart. Duke left the national stage the Republicans provided for him and went right back to the KKK.
