well over-subsidizing corn growers isn`t gonna stop anytime soon. historical fact: corn was domesticated from a hard-shelled, tiny fruit in central america a few thousand years ago, and only became a serious source of food in modern usa around 700 ad.

sure americans want to be thin, they just don`t want to be thin all that badly. every time u think about eating a doughnut there r 2 voices, one is "mmm doughnut gz those taste great and i love eating them" and the other is "i shouldn`t eat this, it`ll make me fat". if u really really seriously want to lose weight, that 2nd voice will be bigger and you won`t eat it, but if u want to eat the doughnut more badly than u want to lose weight, the first voice wins.
also it`s not just what`s in food but the amount of it, that part is also very simple. if calories in > calories out, u gain weight, if calories in < calories out, u lose it.

This is bollocks people are fat since there lazy and over eat trying to blame it on the Food Industry is silly they make what we want to eat the most.

The people in the USA want to eat cheap fast food and by using corn the Food Industry found away to give that to the people.

Over all like all ways there just trying to pass the blame form lazy bastards who over eat to the hard working people growing there food.

They want to stop people becoming fat simple once a week you gather the fat fuckers up and let a pack of tigers run after them your to slow they eati bet after a year ot two there are no fat fucker left in the usa.

Humans are a product of our enviroment. If we are bombarded with cheap shitty food that is bad for us, most people will eat what they are told to eat( by commercials).

Also, the idea of anyone trying to take credit for farming is absolutely silly. Farming is an emergent industry dependent upon the advancements of all humanity.

Take a doobie and go eat some healthy food: grapes, melons, pears taste awesome when they are almost chilled. Steamed cucumbers and tomatoes with dressing of your choice, salted apple slices, brown lentil soup with bits of bacon (yes, bacon) and lemon.

It`s all good, besides, it improves the effects of further pot smoking and sex having.

here`s why there`s a growing percentage of fatties:

1)evolution -> better agriculture -> superior/enriched -> food more food -> more people
2)evolution -> better economics -> high quality of life -> raised comfort -> less requirement for people to work hard -> more time to partake in self-indulgent activities -> sedentarism -> obesity
1), 2) => lots of good food = obesity

How is this a complicated issue? Sure it`s easy to point the finger and say "you buy too much food, you pay too much attention to food, etc" when there`s plenty of it but how do you think a starving man sees this whole thing? He`ll think you`re mentally retarded if you have all that food and NOT eat it.

The rate of obesity growth is directly proportional with the growth of higher living conditions. You cannot oppose progress.

your average american consumes about 30kg of sugar and 30kg of high fructose corn syrup in a year. in places like europe, australia or canada your average person consumes 60kg of sugar.

that corn syrup is killing you.

^ya a model did do that, i think it was vegetable oil though, my friends spray in tf2 is the before and after picture lol

anyway i stand by the point made that if you are active and healthy its ok to eat junk once in a while, too much of anything is bad but depriving yourself isnt healthy either

Cookies are a sometimes food...but that doesn`t mean you move on to a donut, then a danish, then some apple pie...fit some fucking broccoli in there. It`s disappointing when something like a chicken salad in a restaurant costs 13.99, when a rack of ribs cost a few dollars more.

If this info bothers you, the gentleman speaking in the video at 3:55 (and later) is the executive editor for the Nutrition Action Health Letter, a monthly publication put out by the Centre for Science in the Public Interest. I highly recommend looking into a subscription.

" if calories in > calories out, u gain weight, if calories in < calories out, u lose it."

It`s far more complex than that. What you eat is just as important as how much you eat. I guarantee what you consider to be healthy is completely wrong because the food pyramid and everything they teach you on TV and at school is propaganda from the 40s based on nothing. I don`t feel like explaining it, but if you`re interested read: Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. It`s loaded with information.

Corn syrup and natural sugar have nearly the exact same ratio of fructose to sucrose. `High` fructose corn syrup just means high for corn syrup. Regular corn syrup is naturally lower in fructose than sugar.
