As an Iranian (who lives in Canada) I feel helpless, angry and violated.
that selected president (not elected) ruined our country and our image...

about translation:
this is an Italian reporter in Fatemi Sq. (a major place in Tehran) anti-riot police started clubbing people, one of them was captured, but people didn`t beat him and let him run away.
they just set the bike on fire.
yes, they are not savages.

oh and this might be new to you, but most of those "police" officers are in fact Hezbollah recruits and they don`t even speak Farsi (Persian language) they are trained out of Iran to control Iranian people. and do you know how they get paid? by Iranian Oil...

how is this less than a 4.5? i`ve seen absolute donkey piss posted on this site and get higher ratings. Im not iranian, but this needs to be front page material, just imagine every single democratic right you have being stolen from you over night, i sure as hell cant!

Even covered up it`s nice to see women liberally mixed in with that crowd!

Currently half of Iran`s population is under the age of 25. That`s a whole lot of youth who are relatively well-educated and want their movies, their internet and their freedom.

I don`t think the status quo is going to be acceptable in Iran for much longer.
