I`ve been looking EVERYWHERE trying to find out how to shoot a scene like that, but have come up with nothing.

Does anyone know what that technique is called? It`s where the foreground zooms forward while the background zooms out.

Superbly done... Watch it in HD, it`s worth it. The only part that didn`t look very good was 31:55. The rest of it was top notch.

Correct me if i`m wrong though - but wouldn`t this have taken place during the early stages of The Fellowship of the Ring - rather then between The Hobbit and Fellowship?

Arkaman, in the literature decades passed between Gandalf realizing it was the ring of power Bilbo had found and the fellowship`s formation. Also, prior to that it took him about 50 years before he learned the true origin of the ring.
