"one day $cientology will be crushed by the people".

To which "people" are you referring to? Don`t you understand every day Americans, much more normal in the social status quo than both you and I will ever be, are scientologists? Are "the people" going to rise up and destroy a middle income family of four in Suburbia, Iowa, because they follow scientology? Going to stone little Suzie and Michael because they go to a scientologist church? Maybe you can oppress the mother of the family and spit on her for exercising her right to believe in whatever she so chooses, a right given to her by the United States of America.

Yeah, oppression, fear and hatred are certainly the way to go, Anonymous. Good thing "the people" (read: mob) will one day rise to destroy an institution for believing in something that they don`t.

^^ MOST people who support anon and are anti Scientology are not so for the reason that we find their personal beliefs questionable or silly, it is because they do things to people for the sole fact of making money and making said person think they NEED the church, they split families, use child labor, have been instrumental in a death of it`s follower because they refused to let her recieve proper medical attention, and a laundry list of litigation of people merely cause they spoke out against such things.

the rational supporters of any anti-Scientology group seek only to destroy what they believe is actively destroying the lives of those gullible enough to buy into it.

"the rational supporters of any anti-Scientology group seek only to destroy what they believe is actively destroying the lives of those gullible enough to buy into it."

That`s some dangerous path you`re following there. At what point can someone in power say that you`re acting in a gullible manner? What if I were to view you going to Spikedhumor.com as you being "gullible" and being "taken advantage of" by this site and it was destroying your life? Is it my duty to intervene to such a degree that I protest and wear masks and actually ATTACK Spikedhumor.com? (Remember when Anonymous claimed they hacked their website?) The point is that you`re thinking these "gullible" people have no free will at all and being manipulated right out by scientology; while it`s true they`re most likely being manipulated that doesn`t mean the "victim" has absolutely no free will. People have left the church of scientology before and at any point when someone is trying to sell the idea to you all you have to do is say, "no, thanks" and that`s that. Following the line of thinking you`re going down one day someone can say, "that guy is so gullible because he`s being manipulated by Mt. Dew! We should protest Mt. Dew and mock him for drinking it!"

If people wish to ignore their rationality and common sense and get a bit socially abused by a religion then that is their choice. If you wish to warn them or tell them you think they`re being taken advantage of then great. You`ve done your job as a Good Samaritan and you can be on your way because at that point they are choosing their own path. Out of the list you offered (split families, child labor, killing followers via refusal of medical attention) two are highly speculative and the child labor one is something that definitely should be legally investigated. But the other two come down to choice of the "victim".

Besides there are worse religions than scientology out there, WAY worse. Anonymous became infamous and cool on the Internet so everyone`s jumping on the band wagon. Speaking of "rationality", btw, wearing masks to protest something doesn`t make you look too "rational"...ask the KKK.

^ i usually don`t repost a repost but you don`t flame so i`ll respond.

#1 masks were originally used because scientology has a reputation to try and attack people who speak against them in the form of large amounts of litigation.

#2 it`s also not that they`re gullible so much as that they are being taken advantage of in order to bleed them dry of money. to me it is tantamount to cult leaders taking advantage of people who are for lack of better terms `gulible`, and then using their gullibility to do things that should not be done.

#3 i saw a report specifically on child labor by someone who had been in the org, he identified specific children and told what they did, and how much schooling htey did and did not recieve (most got 3 hours a week of `private study` if i remember correctly), the other things i claimed have support i won`t say it`s 100% infallible but after doing quite a bit of research i tend to believe a good bit of it. i believe scientology`s leader`s kid came out and spoke against them also.

i can say honestly if scientology was free to the public, did not require anything special of it`s members, and did not have tenets say in summary `you may do whatever it takes to stop a sp(pretty much anybody that speaks against the church)`. i would have no issue with it. it`s what it does not what it believe that i care about, honestly if this interests you do a good bit of research about scientology, last time i did it i could find A LOT of things that were very bad but not many that were good. Also i do believe a good many of the `bandwaggoners` to anon have hurt more than helped, extremism will only make us the enemy.

lol did anyone else see that the permit shown on the video spells out "Sciencetology" rather than Scientology?

Could it be argued that Scientology didn`t really have permits that day due to a technicality?
