Israeli Settlement Homes Sold to Foreign...

In Israel the issue of settlement activity is a sensitive one.

Successive UN resolutions have called for an end to illegal settlement activity and for existing settlements to be dismantled, but Israel has refused to comply.

In a new twist, properties in these settlements are being offered up to foreign buyers.

This is a great post. I wish the US media covered these topics, but they wouldn`t. They don`t want public opinion to favor the Palestinians and their suffrage, because the media have worked so hard into making us believe that Israel is always "protecting itself" and the Palestinians are all terrorists and have a lesser value as human beings.

All this business and settlement expansion Israel is doing illegally will hurt them in the future. They may enjoy this land now, but people will not take this. I look for the international community to step in, and really hold Israel accountable for these crimes. Why are there no sanctions against Israel??
It`s because our country is the most powerful country in the world, and our leaders happen to be influenced by wealthy and powerful lobbies. Talk about the double standards.

Fef, I don`t think what Nerdicus said was racist.

The Israelis are carrying on with their lives as Palestinians starve, and lack medical and sanitary supplies.

Israel has established "concentration camps" in Gaza in the west bank. A similar thing happened to us Jews in WWII.

And Israel has been taking more and more and more land, they have not stopped since the state was created.

You seem like a reasonable person fef, but you have to realize that Israel is much more than wrong for a couple things. Over 60 years of oppression, countless UN violations, countless Human Rights Violations, displacing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, stealing settlements to this day, launching air strikes on the densly packed Gaza, dropping illegal white phosphorus on the people of Palestine. The people living in Israel, may be good people, but they have not done much to help the peace process with the Palestinians. They are much more interested in the property of Israel, even at the expense of the Palestinians. They need to hold their government accountable for their actions, otherwise, they are guilty for their silence or approval. There are some Israelis who do, voice their distress, but not enough my friend, not nearly enough.

^what the fuck is wrong with you? When you murder/deport/displace the people of a certain region (for example Palestine) and claim that region as your own, then yes, you`re stealing land.

I can`t speak for who said that, but here is my interpretation...


As the jews were being stuck in concentration camps and gassed to death, a similiar strategy is being inflicted on the Palestinian population.

Gaza is the most densely populated area in the world. There are 1.3 million people living in a 25 mile long strip of land.
Gaza is only 6 miles wide. It`s a concentration camp. When you don`t have sovereignty, when your communities` border`s and import supplies are controlled by another party, you are living in a concentration camp.

Now when people live in tightly packed areas such as this and you drop bombs and gasses (white phosphorus) via f-16 fighter jets, you are killing a lot of people. We know this because of the recent bombings on Gaza right before the Obama administration took over.

Nothing can compare to the damage and destruction in the holocaust, but the treatment of the Palestinians is very similar to how the Jews were being treated in wwii.
