For many Americans this is the forgotten war. I was at a bar in Las Vegas and struck up a conversation with an elderly gentlemen. He said I`d never guess what war he fought in. I guessed Korea and I was right, probably because he was about the same age as my grandfather who also fought in Korea; more so then that many Americans have never heard of this war.

Thats because "officially" it was not called a war by the US, it was a "police action".

I notice there is generally a difference between what the US Government states "officially" and what is the actual reality.
