Finally! They moved away from the happy island Ivalice bullshit and is bringing the series back to its golden days. Good ole FF3 and FF7 pseudo-europe. I`m glad they`re making it dark again too! That was pretty awesome.

i wonder if the gambit system from ffXII will be implemented in this game. it made the rts battles so much faster/ smoother.

do people still find turn based combat rpg`s fun? im not trying to bash or anything its a legitimate question. i mean, i remember FF2,3, and 7 well. probably considered those some of the funnest games of my childhood; but it certainly wasnt the turn based combat that kept me coming back. im surprised that`s the one unifying mechanic.

You realize that xbox is getting FFXIII now? PS3 is only getting the exclusive on VS...

And I wasn`t really impressed by this. I saw nothing new in terms of game play, it seemed the same old turn based combat. While this is fine for some, I`ve out grown that.

Also, looks like there s automation in combat again. I saw him only controlling the main guy while the other two were automated like in FFXII.

I liked the graphics.

But I have to agree with Horuku that the gameplay doesn`t really look like a step up.

However the story might just pull me into this one despite the gameplay mechanics.
