Ahh yes. One of the greatest films of the 90s. Hopefully one day it will be recognised as such. And the book? Phenomenal. If you haven`t read Starship Troopers, you don`t know what you`re missing out on. Great political statements wrapped in a cosy science fiction caramel - and you can never quite tell if it`s tongue-in-cheek or not.

And how the fuck did Titanic beat this on special effects? Titanic`s CGI and hydraulics, even in `97, were dated. Yet Starship Troopers is still one of the best examples of CGI over ten years later.

peqew peqew peqew. there`s also a 6 part OVA anime based on the book, called Uchu no Senshi. the beginning is slow because it tries to portray some of the ideas in the book. the action part includes the director`s interpretation of the mobile armor and drop pods that were in the book

It`s kinda effed up that they left the guys in the tower until the very end of the battle... didn`t bother to let them know that they were falling back.
