WTF are you talkin about?!?!?!?!? Dude, SSd`s are a heavenly breakthrough for storage drives. The fact alone about how fast theses drives can write (given just 1 SSD is faster than 2 10,000 RPM Raptoers in a RAID 0) goes to show that a computer will no longer be weighed down because of the slow R/W of a spinning platter.

What he is trying to show in Crysis is that since access times are so dmaned fast, Crysis only has to worry about Physx, Graphics, and Processing, not accessing the data at slow rates.

In short, gaming is about to be absolutley fukn incredible because of these drives. Just wait and see what SSDs do for the gaming console as well.

only one thing explains why this much space is needed: Media Server.

1080p movies take up anywhere from 4-10gigs of space per movie. if your downloading them at 1000mb/s off of a newsleecher server your going to run out of room fast. my brother has 6tb drives in his pc and hes got hundreds of 1080p movies only 2 months after he built it.

and then theres porn.
