The first time I saw this movie I couldnt stop thinking about it and its meaning.
You can watch this movie 10 times and still discover new meanings behind some of the scenes in the story a very deep and personal film that deals with issues we all face and will eventually have to face like lust,guilt,fear,sorrow and death.

The clips posted here on this movie made me go dl it :D Cool movie, but I thought the end was a little anit-climatic. Sure, it was suprising, but failed to explain anything IMO

It was a good movie though, arn`t many like it

The movie is quit deep you really have to pay attention to understand whats going on it but ill try to explain it.
basically he died in vietnam the whole movie is simply a metaphor for how his life was and how he wanted it to be. You see him switching back and forth between his life with his wife and sons one of which dies,now when you see him with jesabelle this is the lustfull part of him that wanted to be with her notice how overtly sexual she is towards him. If you didnt figure out by now his chiropractor loui is god, notice after this scene were he is given a glimpse of hell than his chiroprator comes into the hospital and saves him.

Its than he realizes that these demons he sees arent actually demons they are angels freeing him from his flesh his brain sees them as demons because there taking his life away.
I dont want to give to much away but take the time to watch it again once you realise whats going on you notice every scene has a meaning and has little clues as to whats happening.
For example notice in the begining when he gets off the train you see a advertisment on the wall that reads EXCTASY on one side and a sign that says Bergandy street on the opposite side notice he chooses to walk to the side that says EXCTASY meaning hes choosing jesabelle or "Lust" over his family. You really have to watch a couple times to catch it but when you do you realise what an amazingly deep story it is.

I remember catching this on TV as a kid. I saw a scene where he was inside a house full of people that began turning into demons. I changed the channel, but that scene stuck to my mind. Now I know what film it belongs to.
