look, it would be nice to flip burgers and make as much as youd like but the reality is this: selling burgers for $1 is a price. Now you may vote me down but really, people are worth what they are getting payed. Ive known people who apply for positions and say well in a union id be getting paid $30 an hour at a job site. REALLY? tell me where it is so i can fuckin go too! ya these people complain about the wages, but they know if they leave, there are people who dont give a damn. Be lucky that at this point in the economy you have a job that hasnt cut your ass out.

On the Bonus note, i think its fair to say we havent saved shit on the Dollar menu as we are being bent over and sodomized through our wallet. End Rant.

I think you misunderstood him. He doesn`t mean what the people are actually worth, he means what they are worth in forms of work output. In other words, if you don`t pay a person very much, don`t expect much quality to come from their work.

On topic, Burger King burgers are dry, tasteless, and shit (at least around here), and I don`t care what happens to them. Not that anything like McDonald`s is any better.

i agree, i`m sorry i understand that a single mom has to work hard, my mom was a single mom so i saw how hard it can be. but i mean... you flip burgers, you can`t expect to be paid a lot of money for that. but at the same rate i don`t think that rich douche bags should be given my tax payers dollars so they can get more rich and go on fancy vacations and buy their second or third mansions...

holy fuck face 2500 an hour? you could work like 1-2 days of the year and have enough to live comfortably on. the execs probably get paid by salary instead of by hour though. but still that`s too much. just because you`re at the top of the pyramid doesn`t mean you shouldn`t make insane amounts of money just because you control everyone under you. to be fair though, i hope they didn`t include dividends from stocks, because that`s your own money. if 2500/hour is salary only, that`s too much

"people are worth what they are getting payed" - Is minimum wage too much to ask? Especially when the CEO`s are giving themselves bonuses funded (in this case) by taxpayers. It pisses me off whenever an employer thinks he/she can get away with not paying people correctly.

its disingenuous to tie the struggling single mother in with the greedy cooperate bastards.

sure, the execs maybe make a few grand an hour; but do you know what a lot of those guys did to get there? busted their asses. now, im not trying to take cheep shots at the single moms, but perhaps some of the choices you made early on are to blame for your plight; not business execs.

you wont see me in here defending below minimum wage payouts and forcing employees to stay more hours for no additional pay. that`s criminal, and should be addressed.

however, somehow drawing comparisons between how much Burger King makes as a company in comparison to how much it pays the lowest level of employee is simply mathematics and business. if you can staff your business with relatively skill-less people for minimum wage selling food at budget prices and make a profit, your doing it correctly.

yes the execs are greedy bastards. yes its criminal to underpay your employees. but to say Burger King is evil SOLEY on the fact that they don`t pay out $18,000 bonuses to the people who make $14,000 a year is preposterous.

the REAL problem here is loopholes and sweetheart deals that get conducted and laws passed that allow these corporations to get away with paying their employees shit, or allowing GS to spend how ever much it was bribing elected officials into not passing laws that help the common working man. it all comes back to lobby, back to our government; again.
