Look this is real politiks. It`s diplomacy based primarily on practical considerations, rather than ideological notions. The greatest advocates of this being von bismarck, and kissinger (2 great politicians of their era). It doesnt matter if youre conservative or liberal , great leaders are always hated by their own parties any ways. A practical decision is better than stupid ones molded by political ideologies. Although i think the abortion thing did more harm than good, what ever.
