Actually Canada won 5-1. I was a bit surprised. The Swedish team was pretty good this year but didn`t stand a chance after Canada scored the first goal. 5/5 for #5!!!

I hate player interviews after the games (almost any sport). They state the obvious and in turn makes them seem more stupid than they really are. :p

But he was quite skilled :p

^^ "ruined him"? Hes 18, it usually takes time to break out in the NHL, give him some time. Even then Tampa would take Hedman if they had the first pick, they need D a lot more than they need offense.

@Amnesiac: i agree about your post re: Stamkos. He is still so young and they need not pressure him to be a star at his age.

About Tampa, if they do get first pick, I don`t know if they would pick Hedman. I thought you should generally try to pick the best player available regardless. they could always trade him for Hedman + or for a defenseman +, or even trade away the rights to the 1st draft pick for a good package. Lots of teams have interest in Tavares, they would make use of that instead of just picking Hedman.

^ Why take another centre when you already have Vinny and Stamkos? Theyll have the same problem as Pittsburgh and be forced to pay your 3rd line centre $4 mil+ per. It wouldnt make sense.

Plus they have very poor defensive prospects and its by far their defence thats been their problem since the lockout.
