I`m glad that Dan Savage wouldn`t let that lying bigotted religious cunt spew his poisonous bullshit uninterrupted.

I`m straight, have had kids, now have a vasectomy (free fun ticket ladies). My GF has had a hysterectomy. There can be no children. We don`t even have sex these days (ughhh). But we can marry legally in priveleged and blessed partnership. And our private details are NONE of anyone`s business. It`s simply M + F = legal + sacred.

But frankly, I would be better matched to my male buddy (absolutely no sexual connection). I love the guy, we work well together, and will surely get along for many years to come. We could get married, have no kids or sex with each other (we wouldn`t), be officially responsible with and for each other`s business and past kids, etc.. It`s not even "gay" marriage, just voluntary cooperation / partnership / commitment.

After thinking it through, I am left with the conclusion that it`s NOBODIES business what sex does or doesn`t happen, what genders happen to be involved, or anything else. None of that is anybody`s fucking business.

As a straight person I am now more concerned than ever to safeguard my rights from legal moral majority retards. Here in Canada, I can "marry" my friend if that`s the best contract to suite our purposes. Why sacrifice our freedom?

The guy arguing against gay-marriage had no real good arguments, everything he said could have easily been counter argued. Kinda magnifies the fact that there really is no real legitimate, logical or justifiable reason to ban gay-marriage, with the only reasons being cultural and religious bigotry.

Some kind of libertarianism (big "L" or small "l") is the way to go. People should be able to live their lives any way they see fit so long as they`re not actively keeping other folks from doing likewise. Gay, straight, polyamourous, why should anyone care as long as everyone in the marriage/relationship is consenting? And if you do care, keep it to yourself, butt out of other people`s lives and worry about your own relationship.

In any case, Gay marriage across the US is inevitable. We already have it in Holland and a number of other countries. Massachusetts and Connecticut have it in the US, now. It`s time for religious fundamentalists and nosy bigots to get over it and start spending their energy and money on some REAL problems: poverty, homelessness, the environment, etc.

When I think of the money that was wasted on this because some bigots couldn`t stand the thought of their Gay neighbours getting hitched - money that could have built homes, bought food, put clothes on poor kids - it makes a lie out of all that "traditional family values" the religious folks spew.

If I cant boink my busty blood related cousin in the sanctity of legalized marriage than why should the homos get to marry AND butt hump each other?

Are the homos really for equal rights and personal liberty wrt marriage? If so, why don`t they lump all the minorities together who also face the same problem that they do? Why don`t they campaign for the legalization of incest marriages, considering that the two parties are willing? Sure it`s not a practical campaign to include an even greater taboo than homosexuality but if homosexuals truly believe in equal marriage opportunities for everyone, then why not campaign for marriage of ALL sorts??

They probably don`t campaign for incest marriages because their intention is purely selfish, they want equality for themselves but probably are for inequalities that even homosexuals themselves consider unacceptable with convention and morality.

And I wonder if paying taxes is a legal right? I don`t really want to do that because I`m poor as it is, I don`t want to fork over thousands of dollars on a piece of land that I own every freaking year. But the majority rule in this country demands that I pay up! The fools are stripping me of my legal right to not pay?? Maybe my understanding of legal rights is inadequate.

I think you have to ask, why don`t we allow incest, and why don`t we allow gay marriage? Incest actually breeds genetically fucked up people. Homosexuality breeds nothing. We have made it clear that not having kids is free choice. So NO PROBLEM. We also decided that having inbred medical problems is not acceptable. That is a problem. It is in fact preventable: no incest.

In an age of birth control from pills and rubbers, to surgery, you might think that we could cut a compromise, but sorry mate, it`s your church that said no first anyways.

Why do you people insist people can be born gay? There is no proof, no genetic link, nothing.. You are believing lies that are told over and over again. I`m not against gay marraige, but if they do allow gay marriage they should drop the vow of sexual loyalty for leso`s and allow married lesbians to still be able to have threesomes, in fact they should make it law that leso couples must have a 3some encounter at least once a week and film it for everyone to see, unless they are ugly lesos in that case they are exempt.
