i think gangs are just only one step down from what we consider civilized society. all it takes is a broken home and a struggle for resources in a bad area set in an otherwise pretty normal world. people group together and try to take from each other. in a way, countries are the same, except on a larger scale

This is where I see an obvious conflict of interest regarding religion and the governing of society. I would say the people interviewed in this video have likely seen a different morality than the keepers of the law who see the world with a largely-christian morality. A christian sense of morality is directly antonymous from a morality based on survival. Christianity asks you to leave survival up to God and the leaders he has put in place to govern us in blind faith, but a christian morality is unacceptable in fullness by those who have truly suffered, because they know that god does not feed their families and so his morality is useless to them. We`re all just people, doing what we have to do to survive. Let`s fucking get along.

Also; I disagree with Ninjzz completely. You proclaim "STAY IN SCHOOL GET A EDUCATION" A phrase riddled with grammatical errors to which I comment that you`re probably not not-a-gangster thanks to your fine education, but rather because your experiences and culture have pushed and pulled you in a different, and probably very un-relate-able direction from those you so eloquently attempted to tear down, so education probably isn`t the answer. Now, on the jargon concerning music being the influence, that is ridiculous circular logic, and it should be ignored. The "streets" produce that music because the demographic in the culture that the music targets can relate to it, not because they aspire to it. Blanket statements like blaming video games, or anti-depressants, or rap music are pure fucking stupid, and they need to stop. Try understanding your fellow man before you judge them, even if just for a little while -- just try it.
