^you MUST be j/k right? it`s been made clear to me by *many* catholics (usually doing their best impression of real sympathy) that I am hell-bound, because god will not forgive me for rejecting jesus, no matter how good I am in this life. So yeah, I might as well be a baby killer by that logic!

Once I understood this line of ..thinking, I finally understood why some religious really do have huge fears about atheism growing in the world. What they don`t understand is that I`ve got my self-derived, non-theist value system to keep me from just doing things like that, and it is a much more solid foundation for true compassion to grow - because compassion ultimately comes from understanding.

Far as forgiveness goes - where does that line get drawn? Should I forgive Hitler? The catholic church ALONE has directly ordered the deaths of more innocent people than he, stalin and hussein put together. By a long shot. And when you factor in the part where the church actually
`focused` on killing our best scientists and thinkers - I say they`ve done exponentially greater harm to our species. And this is just catholicism. Most other religions all have that sort of blood on their hands.

What could possibly convince me that it is a good idea to forgive such agencies? Or respect any person that would blindly label themselves followers of such filth? To say I should, is to say that we should also have forgiven the mass-murdering dictators because they too were simply trying to make a better world..

Have you ever seen a docu on kidsoldiers?
Abducted, raped, tortured... forced to kill their own family.. only to die in a senseless battle at a young age.

Now why did god not forgive those innocent children.
He lets it all happen willingly?

Was so expecting him to go to hell and Satan this normal looking guys like "Hi I`m Satan, and this is hell. You are very welcome here and I hope you enjoy your stay. We have many wonderful things to do here."

Then as he looks around its an amazing place full of good people and it is utopia. Then he turns to Satan and says "Wow did you meet that god guy? He`s a dick!" Then Satan is like "I know right? That`s why we founded this place."

For seconds , the world doesn`t revolve around you, I think it`s up to god whether he forgives hitler or not, no one is asking you to forgive him.
However if you have ever heard the lords prayer "forgive us of our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us" then you will know that as a catholic forgiving is a really big part of things.
All this christian bashing is getting out of hand, the christians don`t bash the atheists (anymore) so leave us alone, I`m pretty sure there`s some sick left wing agenda behind all this.(commies hate catholics ever since John-Paul 2 helped in the collapse of the USSR in Poland)

I`m not saying all of you are sick left wing commies (although I reckon a lot of you are) but why are you being pushed into bullying catholics, what does it give you?

I think I know the answer , the catholic religion is about freedom ,peace and love, about moral values and the importance of the family, Catholic religion basically says yeah we`re all sins, and yeah we`re all going to sin, but let`s try and at least be good most of the time and try and improve things for our brothers and sisters.

Communism or socialism on the other hand doesn`t really get on with freedom or love, it tends to erode moral values(liberal judges tend to let off violent criminals because of their "family background" for example) , socialism encourages divorce and feminism of the worst kind.
Socialism doesn`t believe in improving things for it`s brothers and sisters , it believes in bringing them all down to the same level.

A lot of you are going to answer this whining "oh the bible isn`t about freedom and love because of the old testament etc" don`t bother, it is about freedom and love.

You may think I`m indoctrinated by the church, I argue that you are indoctrinated by the liberal media and neo-marxism.

I remember when I was a kid some religious people came to my school and told us a story about a woman who devoted her entire life to god. She worked with the church and charities and she was so busy helping the church and doing good things that she didn`t have enough time to pray every day. When she died after a lifetime of faith and good deeds god sent her to hell anyway for not praying everyday and refused to let her tell her loved ones not to make the same mistake.

Now that I think back about it, it was quite a horrible story to tell little kids, fortunately at the time I had already decided god didn`t exist and I was focusing my attention on the far more pressing matter of Santa Claus’s existence (I was skeptical to say the least).
