Okay, has anyone bothered to think -why- they`re charging for luggage?

Did anyone even remember that luggage weighs something? Or that planes use fuel to fly? Or, a leap of logic apparently, fuel consumption increases with weight?

The fact of the matter is, airlines have to fill up too and it`s costing them money. What the 15 dollar luggage price is trying to do is to keep your unnecessary shit at home
