The video is of a lower resolution that the actual display, and not as it appears. And as this is one of the most if not the most anticipated computer game of all time, I think it is safe to say you can shut up. Oh, and just in case you post in response, no one cares.

I agree with Aids_sauce, this game has better graphics a few new units, some very basic physics otherwise its just starcraft 1, I dont know how its supposed to compete with games that have good tactics like Company of heroes, which in my opinion is the best RTS out so far, I like supreme commander as well but its more mass units like Starcraft then tactics, and whats a RTS without that?

I think the graphics have greatly improved. I’m not an expert so I may be way off but I think in the first one that came out in 1998 used sprite based graphics where each unit was drawn a few times from different angles and as you moved around the game chose which picture to use accordingly, pretty old school stuff. Now they are using fully polygonal renderings of each unit and building so you can swing the camera around in full 3D space and see it all from any angle you want in real time which is quite an improvement I think.
Also in the 1998 version they just used some paint drop backgrounds that were pre-rendered images that let you walk over them and had invisible walls and things. Now they are using real 3D maps that can take the physics of the game into account much more realistically. Plus I’m sure there will be lots of other pretty effects along the way. I personally can’t wait to see the new cgi cutscenes. The originals were amazing for their time.

I really liked Starcraft when it came out, so I`m really looking forward to this. I really want to know about the Zerg. They haven`t shown them at all pretty much since the game was unveiled in Korea. On a related note, Korea is probably a strong reason why the sequel isn`t deviating too far from the original. Starcraft still makes a good chunk of change over there.

On that note, don`t expect the next World of Warcraft expansion to reinvent the wheel either.
